My name is Ron, and a few years ago I set out to become a DJ. I wanted to rock parties, blow up on TikTok and YouTube, and become an influencer and party-rocking star while making real money doing what I loved. But it didn’t go how I imagined. My social media? Not so social. I was posting, but nothing stuck. No growth, no engagement—just noise in the void. And I bombed at parties—badly. There were gigs I walked away from wondering why they even paid me. I’d feel it for days. Weeks, even. The worst part wasn’t just the mess-ups—it was knowing I didn’t really understand what I was doing. I was just playing tracks. Guessing. Hoping they landed. I was the definition of hit-or-miss. But I liked it. That’s what kept me going. Everyone made it look and sound so easy, and I wanted to figure it out. I even went as far as buying the exact same equipment and playing the same tracks, but that didn’t work. I needed to understand what I was doing, not just copy it. The turning point came when I was either reading a blog or watching something on YouTube—can't even remember which—but there was this quick mention that the algorithm controls the track. No real explanation, just tossed out like it was obvious. That line stuck with me. I started digging into Serato's algorithm to really understand what that meant and how it worked.  I discovered it's the algorithm that interprets the structure and phrasing based on where your markers are placed.  That was a game-changer. Once everything matched the algorithm's expectations, and grids reflected the true phrasing and structure of each track, everything fell into place. I developed a system for prepping, cueing, and mixing that gave me smooth, consistent transitions every time. Now I’ve got a process! A different approach to mixing that works no matter what genre you play. I call it Mix Logic. It’s based on the 4/4 system and built around track structure and not the track it self. This can work for you! I can teach it to you with short, focused presentations. You watch. You practice. You level up fast! If you’re struggling like I was… if you love DJing but feel like something’s missing… take a test drive with Mix Logic. You’ll be glad you did.
