Ruth is a writing professor, creative writing retreat and classes business owner (Tongass Mist Writing), small town librarian, nurse of twenty years and freelance writer. She lives in Alaska where she loves to watch ravens and forage for berries in the forest, but always with an eye out for bears! Ruth has written and worked all over the country and teaches with keen interest in helping her students find confidence and pride in new skills. She believes everyone is capable of learning what they need to know to thrive and respects that we all have special talents. Ruth loves to work with students who also have a passion for writing. She also loves to work with students who do not enjoy writing, confident that she can help them find some fun in the process and pride in their work.
