How do you destress?

9 Answers
Listen to music, watch Youtube or Netflix, practice breathing exercises, sip some tea!
Listen to music. Watch Netflix. Read a book. Just go on a random walk through the mall (buying nothing -- deciding what to buy and spending money can be a stressor too).
When I'm super stressed, I ether go on a run, meditate, watch a little Netflix, or cook a yummy dinner. Running and meditating have truly been life-savers for my mental health and they both keep me balanced. Even if you think you can't fit them in, I would still try to incorporate these two things into your day. Even if it's just a thirty minute run or three minutes of deep breathing, you will start to see a difference. If you want help meditating, download the app Head Space: it's a guided meditation app that helps you with meditation in short, yet effective, doses.
When I need to destress, reading is definitely my go-to activity. It allows me to escape the real world for a little while and get really wrapped up in a story, and tends to be very relaxing. I also like to do jigsaw puzzles and craft projects; generally I've found that activities that require concentration but that aren't too mentally taxing are great for helping me reduce stress.
To destress, I do a few things. I light some candles, turn on some relaxing music and just sit and chill. I also like to get baths/showers when I'm stressed, I feel that they usually help me calm down, especially if you have nice smelling soaps! Youtube and Netflix are great to just binge watch videos of your choice as well!
I destress by walking/running and listening to music, doing word search puzzles, just walking through a shopping center or mall, and watching Netflix.
I like to de-stress by watching Netflix, writing, talking to my family/friends, and by playing with my dog!
I communicate with goofy friends! Some of my friends and I have a sillier relationship with each other than others, so I have a few go-to people who can maintain a funny thread of text messages or Snapchat content. I also love listening music to match my mood, and if you have a partner, spending time with them can really relax you. I also love tactile activities like sewing and embroidery, so finding something to do with your hands is a good idea because it allows you to focus small on just one activity.
I usually need to be alone to destress. Some people destress by hanging out with friends, but destressing for me usually means getting in bed and watching Netflix or playing Video Games. I also love to draw- even though sometimes it feels super hard and frustrating, it drawing helps me release my tension in a tangible way!
