Thank you so much for providing us such enjoyable classes. I would say the meditation with Toni is one of the best berkeley courses in my opinion. I was a big fan of meditation, but just following the phone app which is hard to make it into a habit.
An amazing class taught by an incredible professor. She makes sure to push everyone to continue to do well and improve throughout the class. If you're debating whether you should take this class or not, I would totally recommend it. I took it twice and had a great experience both times. You will get out what you put in so keep that in mind as you complete the workouts
Great class! | |
Great explainer! Toni really cares about here students and I'm excited to take the class again next semester!
Toni is an excellent coach; she will push you, but I greatly learned and improved. She is kind and supportive too.
Toni is a great instructor. She is very clear in her expectations and also gives great body cues to increase body awareness which helps create deeper poses. She connects yoga concepts to life lessons which I always enjoy.
Toni is an incredible teacher! Taking yoga with her will improve your practice and life.
Over the course of the semester I greatly improved in my yoga practice. I strengthened my balance, strength, and mindfulness with Toni Mar’s synchronous and asynchronous yoga vinyasa 1 classes.

Strict workout regiment but produces good results. Is very consistent about consistency.
I have become aware of my physical and mental health in this class. Being intentional with my time management allows me to focus more on my health and understanding the mind & body connection. Removing stress and feeling the effects of being mindful of my body and self-care. I went on a hike last week, and I was able to get through it. My body had a bit of an ache 2 days later, but nothing major due to my staying active and stretching. Thank you....
Extremely nice and makes the week seem less stressful
She is AMAZING! I took her mindfulness class. In all honesty I thought it would be "stupid" as what could I learn about this. But she proved me wrong, and I am so grateful for her class and Toni Mar's excellent instructions. I have truly grown as a person, student, and mindful human.
Very helpful and a wonderful way to start the morning!
I've taken Core 3 and Yoga 1 for several semesters now, and I have to say, there's a reason I keep coming back. Toni always establishes clear fitness goals, and she does a great job of adjusting her training plan to students' starting fitness. She's always energetic, and is really good about having people make minute adjustments to their form to avoid injury--I've gotten noticeably stronger and more flexible, and my balance has also improved. Most importantly, I've never gotten injured, and the classes have helped me build up a habit of starting my day right.
I have taken Core Conditioning 1 with Prof Toni Mar, and it's the best decision I have ever made. The way she established to us from the very beginning the goals we must have for the end of the semester was incredible. It gave us a tangible result to look out for- even if it's something that seems as little as fixing our posture (which is superbly important in the long run). She explains why we do each routine, and tries out a variety of things from class to class- no class is ever the same. My key takeaway from this class, apart from the actual routines, was to understand the importance of consistency and routine. It is so easy to get caught up in the small details of life that we lose sight of the bigger picture- our health in the long run. Prof Toni Mar has taught me to give priority to my health, and has made the act of PE FUN, which I didn't think was possible.
Pe3 core conditioning with Professor Mar is definitely no cakewalk PE class. But that is the best part! You are really challenged and improve your strength and flexibility throughout the semester. She is also very understanding of the business of being a student at Cal. I was behind in the class a few weeks and we worked out a solution to get me caught up. I recommend every student at Cal take a PE course with Professor Mar!
Toni is a great yoga instructor and I really enjoyed her class. It was really challenging but I think I definitely got stronger over the course of the class, and she's very understanding about absences for personal reasons and accommodations!
I love Professor Mar, she is very chill and wise. I took 2 of her classes: yoga and mindfulness. I enjoyed both courses. Professor Mar's teaching style is very easy to understand. She is big on zen and her energy is so peaceful, even though I took both classes asynchronously, I still felt here amazing energy. I recommend Professor Mar's classes to anyone looking for a chill class to add balance to their schedule.
The class is really not easy but the professor is very helpful! |
