She is very patronizing. Doesn’t use the online system, but instead spams your email with 3 pdf’s a week… and not short ones. I’m on my last semester as a junior, with a 4.0, and I got a C on my first paper… this is English 102 a freshman level lit class I needed but hadn’t taken yet. I’m an adult in my 40’s (which she doesn’t know cause it’s online) and she treats me like a child when I message her questions for clarification. She grades ridiculously harshly and makes arbitrary complaints about your writing and then offers to change the grade of your rewrite the paper. But she also wrote that she believes “rewrites are essential to the online learning process” and that they make up for a lack of face to face education. So I think she grades low on purpose to encourage rewrites. But who has time for those sorts of random hoops? Three weeks left in the class and all I’ve learned is that there are still teachers who think their opinion is the only one that matters. Avoid this professor if you can! |
