Pros: Easy Class
Dreamweaver Skills
Nice Professor
Cons: Takes Roll
Group Project
The class is interesting and learning how to build a website is cool skill to have, but as I am not a TOM or EBZ I wish I did not take this class. This class takes of so much time from the 15 page (single spaced) group paper to building a website I just felt like I was committing too much time for it no to be my major. One thing I do like about the professor is she give great critiques for group presentation, which I guess could be embarrassing for some but it does help you see how you come off to people

Pros: A lot of extra credit
Clearly explains material
Cons: Timed exams.
I took her hybrid class and found this class was actually pretty fun, she shows a quick video at the start of every class and only has us do group activities once for the "face game" which is a simple assembly line illustration. The math wasn't too difficult since she goes over it all the time and the exams are pretty similar to the homework. She gives out a max of 10 extra credit points for participation.
The only thing to be careful with is the timed exam, just make sure you have your notes and book with you, have your homework examples near by for reference and keep tabs in your book or in a word document so you can reference thins quickly. The exam itself isn't too bad as long as you study the material. I got an A in the class.

Pros: Pretty easy class.
Cons: -None
Great professor especially for a TOM instructor because I hear the majority of TOM professors are hard and terrible.
She is very nice and gives out the opportunity to make extra credit.
She gives out max 10 extra credit where 5 points each go towards one exam and there are two exams.
The extra credit is 12.5% grade boost so its worth to do the participation points (extra credit).
Homework is easy and she drops the 2 lowest one.
Overall, really easy because its open book test. There's a strategy to take advantage of the open book test because it makes it super easy for the test and you will always get 30/40 for sure using this strategy, but YOU will have to find out yourself ;). HINT: USE TECHNOLOGY
Take her!! SHE IS BEST TOM 301 PROFESSOR!!!! Easy Easy!

Pros: -Hybrid Class
-Participation Points (Max. 10)
-2 Online tests (Open Book)
-Study Guide
Cons: none
Great Professor. Meet only once per week. 1 Midterm and 1 Final both open book & online. She assigns homework each week but she drops 2 lowest scored ones. Her assignments weren't hard if you pay attention in class and write the formulas down. Pay CLOSE attention to the math formulas. The concepts and definitions are in the book. When you do the homework, you can just look @ what you wrote in your notes and the practice. The assignments will be a breeze. She also gives out free points in the homework. EX) Click Yes for .5 points. I suggest attending all her classes to get the max 10 participation points. You can answer her questions or sometimes she tells you to fill out equations on the board to get the points. I almost skipped one class but I went anyways and she gave out easy points. So i was lucky I didn't skip that class. 5 points will be assigned to the midterm and another 5 to the final. 40 questions for each exam so you get 12.5% boost. Grade received: A
Tips:
-Assignments were straight forward. Be sure to write down the formulas she teaches in class.
-Get as much participation points as you can. Maximum is 10.
-you have 1 hr 30 mins to finish the 2 exams. Look @ her study guide. She tells you what sections to skip for certain chapters.
Probably the best Tom professor.

Everything is online but that does not mean that its easy. Her test can be tricky and difficult. They are time so make sure you know where everything is at and take good notes. Some advice, create a spreadsheet with the formulas you use in class. This will save you time during the test because you wont have to actually do anything but plug in numbers on your sheet; just make sure you can identity whats what. Overall, not a difficult class but dont wait till the last minute to get ready for the test assuming its going to be easy because its online. You will regret it.

Pros: AMAZING!
Online finals
Online homework
Cons: NONE!
well her accent, but I didnt mind it!
THIS WOMAN IS AN AMAZING TEACHER!
I was in her hybrid class, it met once a week on Tuesday mornings.
Class was very fun and very easy! She gave extra credit every time you would participate in class!
THE TEXT BOOK IS AMAZING! Its such an easy read and it actually made me interested in what operation management is!
I got easy 98% on midterms and 95% on final.
How? I read the book the day before, its online but you can't google the questions. So read it right before, take notes on where everything is at, I would make a paper that had key words in ABC order for each chapter, and test was instantly that much easier!!
She really wants her students to do well, and she is very nice!
TAKE HER!

Pros: Easy A
Cons: None
She is really nice, has a bit of an accent, but nothing you can't understand. She always shows funny videos before class and you only meet one of two sessions a week. I can't believe this is a college class! She makes it so easy to not get an A in this class. Extra credit for participation, drops two out of nine homework assignments and the tests are online. Although the tests are open book, open note it is more difficult than it sounds. If you get anything less than an A you should re evaluate your college education status. Take her!

Pros: hybrid class
Xu is very passionate about TOM/EBZ. You learn a lot from her, especially from this class. There are two test ( excel modeling and multiple choice online exam ). The excel modeling was quite simple and easy, she let you retake it if you are not satisfied with your first grade. The multiple choice exam is based on all the quizzes and book( it is based on 4 chapter.). If you have e-book is going to help tremendously in all her quizzes, just have to search the key word of the question. P.S: she will drop 2 of the lowest quizzes score. Last thing...there is a group project about analyzing company supply chain..

Pros: very nice, truly loves her students and wants them to learn, very accessible in her office to help, expectations very clear, great teacher
Cons: heavy accent, lots of reading
Great teacher! Loved her! Very straight forward. You know exacatly what to expect. Short 10 minute, 6 question quizes online once a week, a few online homework assignments, and 2 open book, open note exams. Exams are long and hard, but if you have printed the powerpoints, taken good class notes on the powerpoints, printed out the quizes and homework assignments after taking them, and underlined a lot in your book, they are easy. Her accent is a little tough to understand, but after a while you get it. Got an A.

She is one of the best or possibly the best instructor in the EBZ/TOM department. She is very friendly and teaches very well and make every possible effort to help you with the material. Class consisted of 1 midterm, 1 final, homeworks, individual presentation, and a group project. She lets you take a second midterm if you are not satisfied with the grade for the first one, which helped me out greatly. The first midterm is based on excel modeling and is done on excel and is open notes. So make sure to study your ass off. Homeworks are a bit challenging, but still not to bad. For the group project just make sure your team doesnt lag like mine did because it just adds unnecessary headaches and stress. The final was tough even though it was open book. She also does participation points which help greatly, try to get all of them thoughout the quarter because they will help on the final. She is a great asset to the department and I highly recommend her for not just this class, but for Ebz 301 and Tom 301 as well. Grade Received: B

Professor Eva is awesome! I took for her EBZ 301 and this class. She is friendly, always willing to help you out, and replys to emails within hours sometimes seconds. The class has one major group project (groups are chosen randomly) with a paper (at least 15 pages long) and presentation (at most 15 minutes). You have group homework assignments which mainly consists of chapter summaries (easy!) and you have 2 or 3 logistic problems as homework which is hard but she grades on effort base. So if you completed the hw she gives you the points. She also gives extra credit that you can use on the final (which is open book, open notes!) The midterm is difficult if you haven't taken TOM 301 but she allows you to take it at least 2 times (open note) and you get to choose which one she grades. TAKE HER! This class was great and interesting! Grade Received: B+

TAKE HER! There is one big project that you have to create your own business and website with a business plan of course! She was a great professor, very nice and was always willing to help. I would recommend her!! The final is open book, open internet...basically it was finish it whenever. There is another project that you have to do with a partner she picks but the project is so simple you can divide it up. I took her on Tues/Thurs...what we would do is every Tuesday meet and Thursday we would have to teach ourselves which basically ment read the book take a quiz and that is it! The homework is simple and she will drop two of your lowest scores. Grade Received: A

She's very friendly and makes the class more interesting than it probably would be, she doesn't mind if you sleep in her class, but don't skip because attendance is part of the grade, and only the top 15% in the class (5-6 people) get an A or A-. She makes the class pretty easy, if you fail the class, it means you pretty much did nothing. A typical lecture...she starts with a short video to wake people up, then she starts her powerpoint lecture and may do example exercises in between. Throughout the lecture she asks for people to participate. I highly recommend this because she gives extra points (up to 5 before each exam) that can be used on her exams. Quizes are online and usually have a short time limit (like 10 min) so prepare a little before the quizes and you'll be fine. Her HW is mostly online and are pretty easy. All exams are open book and open note, but do some studying because you may not have enough time to look up all the material during the exam. Grade Received: A

If your gonna take tom 301, take Xu (call her EVA). She is the best instructor to take for OM. She knows the subject very well, answers all questions, teaches great (mainly powerpoint, excercises, examples, etc.), and she is very friendly. The class consists of 3 exams (75pts), homework (10pts), quizzes (10pts) and attendance (5pts)...all of this out of 100pts total. She has 5 homeworks (drops lowest one) and 5 quizzes (drops lowest one) and they are on blackboard. All powerpoints are on blackboard as well. She gives 3 exams total, there are 50pts possible for each one. The consist of 12-16 multiple choice and true/false questions and 2-3 problem solving (each exam varies). She gives you excercises to practice on in class to get you ready for the exams. Good class and excellent instructor. Take her! Grade Received: B

Sue is great! She is very knowledgable and is soooo nice. She will answer every question you have and will make time after class to talk or answer questions. Although the scheduale said class meetings were tuesdays and thursdays, we ALWAYS took tuesdays off and ONLY met on thursdays...turned out it was a hybrid class and she told the class that she ALWAYS does this...so expect that!!! The class in NOT challenging at all, in fact IT'S EASY!! Better said...there is no way you can fail this class...it is a great intro to EBZ...it does get boring at times though...but you can go ahead and use the internet whenever you want...all quizzes (in class and out) and exams are open book and open internet!!! Her grading: Fun Presentation 10%, Internet Assignments 10%, Mission Impossible Project 25% (MOST IMPORTANT!!!), Quizzes 20%, Final Exam 25%, Peer Review 10%. All in all, great class and instructor and I highly recommend!!! Grade Received: B

A very nice, easy going professor. She has an accent, but you'll get used to it after a couple of meetings. The class was hybrid,so we only met every thursdays and a couple of tuesdays for tests. There's hw and quizzes on blackboard. She does in-class activities to help you prepare for the hw and quizzes. The one midterm Midterm and Final is a mix of multiple choice and problem solving (both of them are open book/notes)
Overall the class was pretty easy.Just pay attention to her powerpoints, take good notes, and you'll do fine.Great teacher,i definitely recommend taking this class. Grade Received: A-

This class was pretty easy but at times quite frustrating because you don't always know what to expect from her. Powerpoint slides were pretty useless as 90% of everything from quizzes and exams were from the book. She's sometimes a little hard to understand (accent) but she's reasonably nice and the class is relatively easy. I would have received an 'A' except for bombing the group project which wasn't my fault; that would be my only real beef with the class. Overall, pretty easy class. Grade Received: B+
