5 Outrageous Ways to Die
1. Game too hard. A man in southern Taiwan played Diablo III (debatable) two days straight without stopping to eat at an Internet cafe. This isn’t the first story about dedicated gamers– one took his real life revenge on his friend over a virtual sword.
2. Fatal Falling Ice. 2010 is not a lucky year for St. Petersburg. More than five people were killed and over 150 people injured by icicles, according to the Telegraph. Forever paranoid when under ice.
3. Hunted… by a Vampire. Most of us aren’t intimated by Edward’s sparkly exterior, but that doesn’t mean creatures of the night aren’t roaming in the streets. Aswang, a mix between a werewolf and a vampire, is a mythical creature in Filipino culture. It often takes shape as a woman or a dog, striving on eating unborn fetuses and children. Red eyes are its outstanding characteristic, as it searches for prey during the night and shifts back to a seemingly normal person by day. Potheads, beware!
4. Diarrhea. I’ve heard of over-hydrating and overeating, but… really? While it’s not a threat in North America, it’s proving otherwise to children under 5-years-old living in third world countries. Let’s skip the fart jokes for a while.
5. Major Brain Freeze. Deliciously deceiving. Think twice before eating your next ice cream cone.
