Three Unique Student Apartment Complexes in Tucson

By Lucia Dabdoub on June 20, 2013

When college students leave their home to start their college period, they are faced with the task of deciding where to live. In Tucson, it seems that a lot of students are turning to off-campus student apartments. In the recent years student apartment complex options have increased almost exponentially here in Tucson. With so many out there it’s hard to choose the one that will be your home for four years. I have discovered that the best way to go about it is to find the one that best fits your lifestyle and best meets your expectations of college life. When making this decision, you should decide which location you’d like to live in, what features amenities you would want available, and what kind of environment you’re looking to live in.

There are three very unique student apartments that I believe stand out from the rest. The three are The Cadence, The Seasons, and CollegeTown Tucson. I spoke with people from each of these three housing options to listen to what makes them a great option for students.

The Cadence

In the vibrant intersection of Congress and Fourth, a modern set of buildings is under construction. These, when done, will be The Cadence. I sat down with Evyn Petrisin, a young leasing agent for The Cadence, who described for me the downtown experience that awaits those who will live in this scenic location next semester and in the years to come. He told me that the rooms will have a very modern look, a result from quality furniture and the detailed fixtures.

The Cadence will provide all the amenities that students need to feel comfortable but also have an exciting college life. There will be a resort-like pool, hot tub, grilling stations, an outdoors movie screen, tanning beds, sauna, and golf simulator, among other things. Also, there will be shops and restaurants right on the property. Residents will have everything they need inside the walls of the building. But considering the location of The Cadence, walking outside the walls might not be such a bad idea.

The Cadence will have some of Tucson’s best nightlife venues at its doorstep like The Rialto and Hotel Congress. It’s within walking distance from many lively nightclubs, countless delicious restaurants, and many rare and artistic shops. The arrival of so many university students to this location will help local small businesses thrive and it will speed the growth of downtown Tucson. If you’re looking for an urban experience then I encourage you to consider the Cadence to enjoy a city feel.

The Seasons

The next apartment complex I visited was The Seasons, a place known for throwing probably the best, largest, and most exciting pool parties in Tucson. I talked to one of their many satisfied residents, Stefan Nieth, who said with complete confidence that The Seasons is the best place to live because of the friendly atmosphere and the incredible amount of fun that he has. He says that The Seasons is a place where everyone gets along and there is absolutely no drama. This is a community of college students where everyone can feel at home.

Even though this place is always alive and active, students can still find peace and quiet in one of the study rooms, which is one of the many features that The Seasons has to offer. Other amenities include a large movie theater, a computer lab, a complete fitness center, a gamers lounge, and of course a spectacular pool area.

The Seasons is located on Wetmore and 1st Avenue, an excellent area for shopping, dining, and other interesting activities. Residents enjoy its proximity to Tucson Mall and other great shopping centers. The Seasons also has a convenient shuttle that transports students to campus frequently. The Seasons is the perfect place to get the complete college experience making a lot of friends in the process.

College Town Tucson

I also had the pleasure of visiting College Town Tucson and meeting one of their residents, Anthony Vizzerra, who also works in marketing for the apartments.  He says that what makes College Town unique and what it is probably best known for is having the “A” shaped pool, the sign of the University of Arizona Wildcats.

College Town’s motto “Live-Study-Play” correctly describes what it’s like to live there. They provide everything necessary to live and study comfortably including spacious rooms with complete kitchens, DirecTV, high speed Internet, and all other basic utilities. When residents are done studying they can enjoy the two pools, a fitness center, and a recreation room. At least once a month, College Town organizes events for its residents where they have contests and give away money. It’s a great environment where students can make life long friends and have a lot of fun.

College Town Tucson is a great option for students who are looking for an affordable and comfortable place that they can soon call home. It’s also conveniently located close to many shopping and dining options and at a short distance from campus.

If you’re moving to Tucson or you already live in Tucson and you’re looking for a place to live this fall semester, I encourage you to consider these three great living options. Don’t miss out on an amazing undergraduate or graduate experience by leasing the wrong apartment. Everything you’ve always dreamed from your college years is waiting for you at The Cadence, The Seasons, or College Town Tucson.
