The Best Places for Food Delivery Around Campus

With my laziness to make any food for myself on the weekends and the close-to-blizzard-like weather conditions that make me wanna curl up in my PJs all day, I rely on food delivery to satisfy my always hungry tummy. When it comes to food, I get very particular about my options. When I need something fast, fattening, and unhealthy, I know I can always count on my boys Jimmy John’s and Papa John’s. But when I’m in dire need of some real food, it’s a miracle that Columbus has fine dining on wheels. Here are my top choices for food delivery around campus:

1. We Deliver 2 You: Possibly my favorite place to order delivery from, especially when I’m craving sushi. We Deliver 2 U has great options for restaurants way far down into the Short North. Some of my favorite restaurants, including Haiku and Two Fish, are just a couple clicks away from being delivered right to my door. The convenient thing is that the ordering is all done online, where you can add items into your “cart” and type out special requests for each item, like “extra sauce on the side” or “no onions.” It’s also nice that the delivery man texts you when they are on their way with your order and when they pull up to the door. The cost can be a little pricey when you factor in delivery fees and the actual cost of the food, but considering this is real food from a nice restaurant, it’s totally worth it if it’s a once-a-week type deal. Plus, the sushi from Haiku beats out Ohio Union sushi any day.

2. Eat High St.: Your #1 go-to site for all food delivery. I love that this site literally has almost every food option available, and it organizes the restaurants into categories such as “Italian,” “Healthy Alternatives,” and “Open Late” in order to meet your particular needs. Together with their abundance of food options, their daily deals can’t be beaten. You have the option of both ordering online and ordering by phone, although I have found ordering by phone is much more efficient than ordering online for this site. From wings to calzones and Chinese to Indian, Eat High St. has it all.

So whether you’re craving something gourmet or something other than Catfish Biff’s and Donato’s Pizza, there are always other options available to order from the convenience of your own home/dorm/apartment/basement of your grandma’s house. Happy ordering!
