Yet Another Wrestlemania to be Headlined by John Cena. Surprise, Surprise....

John Cena: The Face of the WWE
John Cena has been called “The Face of the WWE” for as long as I can remember. No matter what title he holds, or if he even has one, his popularity is never eclipsed. As much as I would like to say that I don’t like him, I cannot bring myself to say that. Why not? Well, because he is hard to hate. He is always of the highest moral standard and he absolutely loves what he does. In addition to that, he is the number one contributor to the Make A Wish Foundation. He has granted more wishes for terminally ill children than any other celebrity. Those things make him hard to hate, but I do hate his Superman persona. He does not lose very often because of it, and thus, his matches tend to be very predictable.
For example, the Royal Rumble match was held on Sunday. For those of you that don’t know, this match consists of thirty men. A new man enters the ring every minute until all thirty are present. The contenders must then toss their opponents over the top rope to eliminate them. The last man standing is then given the opportunity to challenge the champion of his choice for his title at Wrestlemania. This year’s match had many top contenders, including Randy Orton, Sheamus, Ryback, and Chris Jericho, but in the end, John Cena was the last man standing. Along with many other WWE fans, I thought this was beyond disappointing. John Cena is always a main focal point at Wrestlemania and it is getting tiresome. Isn’t it time to give another superstar some time in the limelight? I think so. Hopefully, the writers at WWE will hear the pleas of their desperate fans and change some of the story lines to include other big superstars.
In conclusion, I have a lot of respect for John Cena as a person, but I think it is time for his invincibility to be challenged.
