Kony 2012. The Time is NOW.
Sometimes people don’t want to listen. So what do we do? We make them.
Perhaps you’ve heard of Joseph Kony, but perhaps not. The “perhaps” is most certainly the issue. It’s the issue that needs to be rectified through the efforts of ordinary people like myself.
Allow me to enlighten you: Joseph Kony is a war criminal in Africa, and under his influence over 30,000 children have been abducted to fight in his rebel war. The girls are forced into sex slavery, and the boys are given weapons and are forced to use them to do horrible things to people: molestation, mutilation, murder. Joseph Kony MUST be stopped.
How though? How could an average person ever hope to make a difference? By knowing what is happening and spreading the word. Just by reading this you are making a difference! After many long years of fighting for change, a select group of men were sent to Africa to lead the soldiers on a hunt to find Kony. The time they have to find him is limited though. If it doesn’t happen now, in 2012, the window of opportunity will slam shut as these men are forced to come home. So spread the word! Tell everyone you know about Joseph Kony. Let his name become as infamous as it deserves to be. Are you going to sit by as children are abused in such a grotesque way? Out of sight, out of mind? I didn’t think so.
