Now that the National Championship is behind us, we can start to truly figure out where the pro prospects will start to fall into place. But don’t be fooled, there will still be plenty of risers and duds between now and the NFL draft. We still have pro days and the NFL combine between now and April, so there is always room for change, and I expect plenty.

As I mentioned in my previous article, NFL teams tend to draft using a combination of value and their own needs as a team. So they will take the best player available at the position they need. For example, Jarvis Jones may be the best player on the board, but the Chiefs, who have the #1 overall selection in the draft, might opt to take Geno Smith or Mike Glennon because of how much they need a quarterback.
