"Kiss You" Video Shows Fun Side of One Direction

The famous boy band from the United Kingdom, One Direction (consisting of members Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson), finally released the long-awaited video to “Kiss You,” the band’s recent single.

“Kiss You” was released in November of last year as the second single (in the United States) off of One Direction’s sophomore album, Take Me Home. The song represents the fun-loving side of the band, similar to that of the song, “Live While We’re Young.” The song is upbeat and makes for a great dancing session, similar to that of Taylor Swift in the “You Belong With Me” video.

Malik said in an interview with MTV about the video that, “It’s really funny. We are just having fun.” The boys also “promise their fans it will be their best yet.”

Leading up to the release of “Kiss You,” the band released videos counting down the days until the premiere (as they had with previous videos). Viewers were shown scenes from the actual video, and also got to see the band members goofing around as well as preparing to film.

The video starts with Malik driving a motorcycle, with Styles riding in the back and Payne in a side car. We see Horan and Tomlinson driving in a red car. The rest of the video has the boys traveling to other places, such as surfing, skiing and even a trip to jail.

The part of the video that female fans will probably enjoy is the shot of all five boys shirtless and surfing. This has never been seen in a One Direction video before. Also, all of the boys are shown equally, so fans will get to see a good amount of whomever their favorite happens to be. The boys are the main focus of the video and their interactions remind the fans of how close they are and how the boys haven’t let fame change them.

One of the sweeter moments of the video is at the very end, when Malik grabs the face of Styles and plants a kiss on his cheek. Directioners (big fans of One Direction) will surely enjoy this gesture. Check out the video. Because fangirls will most definitely be talking about it for awhile (at least until the next one).
