Silky Smooth Skin
During the winter time, many suffer on a day to day basis from dry skin. From mild to severe, many search the aisles of the beauty department trying to find the secret to soft, healthy skin year round.
So instead of paying high prices for an over-the-counter ointment, checkout some of our tips for silky skin, even in the harsh conditions of winter.
Sugar Scrub
Using an exfoliate such as sugar scrub will get rid of dead skin cells and leave smooth skin underneath. Rough patches on feet, elbows, and all other areas can be softened and sloughed away using a homemade or store bought sugar scrub. Use Twice weekly in the shower for best results!
Shave
Shaving will leave prickly skin smooth to the touch. Make sure you’re using a fresh, sharp razor each time you’re doing a full body shave, as a dull blade will leave knicks and bumps.
Lotion
An aloe or Shea butter lotion will leave even the roughest skin soft and smooth. Make sure your lotion your entire body after a fresh shower. Hands, legs, arms, feet, and your face should all be covered in lotion after a shower. Make sure you use hypoallergenic, non-perfumed lotion for full body; the scents in body shop lotion can cause unwanted breakouts and irritation if used on the face or in private areas.
Baby Oil
Put a dab of baby oil into your lotion to make your skin velvety smooth. The baby oil will help lock in extra moisture and will leave your body feeling as soft as a baby’s bottom. Make sure you use just a tad, too much will leave you looking oiled up as if you’re ready to lay out and catch some rays!
Aquaphor
This ointment is often a topical healing product on tattoos. The main reason is: moisture! Use a dab of this between areas that are dry, like around your nose, mouth, lips, behind your ear, or anywhere else there are small, dry patches.
