With all these winter festivities, one would tend to dress cozy and comfy. But, what do you wear to a family Christmas dinner or even a Christmas party? Not legwarmers or scarves, that’s for sure. Here’s an outfit that would work both for a Christmas
dinner/party, so you can be fabulous and glitzy and avoid that dreaded “What the heck was I wearing?” when looking back at pictures.

a chic ensemble to wear to all your holiday parties and dinners
headband, tights, wristlet, flats, dress, belt, earrings, lip gloss, nail varnish, mascara
I’m Dreaming of a White dress: A white dress may seem a little plain and boring, but when you add the right accessories and extra details, it can truly transform into something crisp and elegant. To make the dress less plain, I added a red belt with gold detailing for a little added glam. Adding on to the gold detailing trend, the headband has small gold studs to ensure that everything flows together nicely. I am really big on small details, so these tights were a must; sheer tights with little hearts stitched on them adds instant charm to the ensemble.
Gold Digger: A gold sequined wristlet and gold sparkly flats instantly make you the center of attention. I chose flats, instead of heels, because at holiday events there tends to be a lot of standing, walking around, and *ahem* drinking, so comfort is key. The added glitter makes the flats dressy, so you get to be comfy and cute (no stumbling around in heels for you, drink all the eggnog!)
Simple and Elegant: People tend to overdo everything during the holidays from Christmas decorations, baking more than enough treats for Santa, and of course, overspending. Jewelry is no exception, they throw on every statement piece in a 10 mile radius. I blame the eggnog for the extra boost in confidence, in thinking that one could pull off 12 different statement pieces. None of that tackiness here with these beautiful pearl earrings that add just a touch of elegance and the right amount of statement. With this particular outfit, there are enough extra details, so you shouldn’t feel the need to overcompensate with an insane amount of cocktail jewelry.
Red Hot: You shouldn’t overdo it on the make up, either. Let your accessories speak for you, instead. Therefore, keep your make-up to a minimum; a simple red nail and lip should do the trick. And don’t forget two coats of mascara to make those eyes pop!
Not everything needs to be overlay ornate during the holidays and this outfit is proof. Enjoy your holiday by being so fabulously dressed that even Rachel Zoe herself would be jealous!
Happy Christmas!
