Intro to Photography - Catch Some Movement

By Brad Lane on February 25, 2012
Although I am a business student (an Accounting major at that!),  I cannot stress the importance of a well-rounded education. A sharp student may fall victim to slipping through the cracks of an unadventurous lifestyle if they spend all their time researching one subject. In this day and age, you must be versatile, able to connect with people on many levels, and most importantly, be able to stand out from the crowd!

To keep myself well-rounded, I decided to take an Intro to Photography class that stretched my creativity. So, to help you expand your own boundaries, I will throw out a photo challenge. It follows the same guidelines given to me for my first Intro to Photography class: Catch some movement, represent action through a still shot, and most importantly have fun with it. Go explore a new neighborhood, ask some friends to help, and don’t forget to fill the memory card.

To illustrate the assignment, here is some pictures I turned in for my project:

I’d like to send a big thanks to the friends who helped me make this happen. Without you all I would have looked awfully strange trying to take a picture of myself on spinning on a merry-go-round.
