Halloween "costumes" right out of your closet
Halloween’s coming up, and if you’re a student, chances are you’re broke and/or don’t have time to go out and buy a costume for the week’s Halloween parties- and you shouldn’t have too! Why buy a costume anyway when there is an abundant possibility of costumes from the clothes hanging right in your closet? Save some time, money, and think outside the box this year. Here are some budget friendly costumes that will still let you stand out in the crowd.
Cowgirl/Cowboy
Do you own a flannel, a ripped pair of jeans and a pair of brown boots? If you do, look no further to achieving the cowboy and cowgirl look. Add a bandana and a cowboy hat for extra flair.
Blues brothers
Dudes, do you and a friend both own black suits, a black tie and Ray-Ban-like sunglasses? Put that good suit to use and dress up as the blues brothers!
Juno and Bleeker
Back in 2007, the movie “Juno” was one of the first things that sparked the 16 and pregnant trend. Bring it back to life and try dressing up as lead stars Juno and Bleeker. You’ll be sure to turn heads!
Cereal Killer
Grab your old box of cereal, slash a plastic knife into the middle and tape it to the box to become an ironic cereal killer.
Edward and Bella of Twilight
Just make sure you wear lots of dull colors. You can’t get this one wrong.
Hipster
If you already see yourself as an independent thinker with an appreciation for art and indie rock, then you may as well go to that Halloween party with the clothes on your back.
Athlete
Did you play sports in highschool? Put on your old uniform and relive the memories! Grab a football, basketball, tennis racket- anything that will go with your outfit, or just wear your favorite sports jersey
Happy Halloween!
