Love is Not for Quitters
Quitting has become so easy nowadays. When something gets too hard, the easiest thing to do is just walk away. Some people think it is easier to throw in the gloves than stay in the ring and fight. It’s no wonder why divorce rates are so high and why people today are asking for the papers to be served after the first fight. People give up so easily and forget what it is like to work for something we really want. We all have this unusual mindset that things all of the sudden just come easy. But is this true?
It has been said before that things in like worth having never come easy. I am sure everyone out there with the exception of a few want the love like the Notebook. The book written about a couple from back in the day that exhibits that patience is a virtue and putting in the effort goes a long way. As a romantic person I see the value in spending a long life with one person, a special person. But at this rate it seems that there is no one left that will actually stay in a relationship even when things get hard. Love is something that should be valued and people need to start remembering what it is like to fight for someone or something. Happiness will never come easy and that with the right person, anything is worth everything.
I hope one day everyone in our generation will be able to say that they are spending their 50th anniversary with someone. Whatever number it may be, I hope one day that people will be patient in relationships. Not just with your partner, but with friends and family too. Slow down and enjoy the things right in front of you, fix problems when they need to be fixed. Don’t just quit when things get hard, they happen for a reason.
