Broke? Eckerd Offers Many On-Campus Options for Part Time Jobs
Sometimes, the monetary allotment from Mom and Dad just isn’t enough. With food, school supplies, and entertainment, a student can go broke pretty quickly. While the idea of just taking classes and studying might sound great, it might not be a welcome reality. Let’s face it, we don’t get paid to study.
A part time job might be just what the doctor ordered. With a little extra income, your financials might begin to look better. You can choose to look for a job on or off campus. Since many students don’t necessarily want to venture too far from school (or might not have a car), on campus jobs are probably the best option. Eckerd lists the jobs they have available on campus on the school website. All you have to do is log in with your Eckerd username and password, and you have access to all of the available opportunities. Here are a few of the positions currently available:
Men’s Basketball Team Manager: Eckerd is currently looking for a manager to attend all games and practices. You will perform a variety duties including set up and breakdown for practices, and running the game clock. Contact Paul Honsinger at 727-864-8586 for more information.

Paid Internships: The wonderful staff in Eckerd’s Career Services Office compile a list of internships on a weekly basis to send to students. Some of these internships are indeed, paid.
