Wedding Bells Ringing, No Groom

Let me start by saying, I don’t plan on getting married anytime soon. But let’s be honest, has there ever been a girl who didn’t have their wedding planned out before she got a boyfriend? In movies, shows, and books, where someone is getting married, there’s almost always something mentioned about the woman being a little girl and looking through wedding magazines, or something of the sort. And it was never a big deal. The little girl had everything planned from her dress to the center pieces of the tables. It was the norm. Then the girl would grow out of it.

But now that we have the internet, it’s so much easier to keep going with that dream, and the possibilities are endless. There are girls on Pinterest who have boards devoted to their weddings, and they are still single. I don’t have a specific board, but let’s be real, I have lots of ideas on there. I was thinking that it was a fairly normal thing, since there was even a pin mentioning having a board but no boyfriend. That was kind of a wake-up call. I don’t want to seem desperate like these women; I’m just having fun. These ladies are literally planning every detail. Though I will admit, there was one day when I spent about 2 hours looking at wedding dresses, but never did I plan on investing in one. Like the lady in the video says, your style changes. There’s no way that I could know what I like now will still seem perfect to me years down the road.

So I’m warning you, if you’re anything like this, stop, or at least ease up on that. If a boy finds out you’re just looking for the last piece of the puzzle, it will scare him away. Now get off the computer and actually look for a potential husband… I shall take my own advice. Good day.
