Mark Your Calendars- September 29th is Free Museum Day!
Do you need to attend a museum for class credit, or do you just love the Arts? Whether you are looking for a unique date location or just want to indulge in a little artistry, your day to bask in the creative is coming soon. According to a recently posted article on Budget Travel, museums across the nation will open their doors to patrons free of charge. This is the perfect opportunity to get that class assignment on “The Meaning of Modern Art” out of the way. Let’s face it- you can’t beat “free”, even with your student discount. Whether you love photography, history, modern art, or a little of everything- you will surely find a museum that will suite your fancy.
We can offer thanks to Smithsonian Magazine for making this possible with their 8th annual Museum Day Live. Museum Day Live promotes the Arts by enlisting museums across the county to open their doors to the public for free. After all, Smithsonian museums are open to the public for free 365 days a year. That means you have an entire Saturday to peruse the halls of any museum you choose. You can find a museum in your area and order tickets right online.
