They say that laughter is the best medicine. Well, whoever “they” are, they are quite right. After a long day of classes and hours of homework, every student could do with some hoots and cackles to reduce stress. Not just a chuckle or lol, but a good hearty rofl. So, for the diagnosis of super-serious-student and for the prevention of study-burnout, I prescribe a few hours of hysterics per week. Here are my most favorite snort-inducing websites you may not have discovered yet to fill your prescription.

“We supply your favorite furry friends with a healthy dose of shaming.”

This site successfully strikes the delicate balance between adorable puppy cuteness and disgusting doggy drama. You’ll have to fight the urge to adopt a pet and immediately give it back.

“When Professional Cakes Go Horribly, Hysterically Wrong”

For the sweet-tooth in all of us, check out what bakeries dare to place in a pastry box and put on sale. Almost 800 pages of calorie-laden levity! You’ll laugh yourself to tears looking at bloody-birthing baby shower cakes, “what the bride ordered” vs. “what the bride got”, an array of unfortunate misspellings, and some mystery desserts that just cannot be explained.

In the spirit of Jane Goodall, we embark on a study of a certain human sub-group: those unique creatures sometimes found in their native habitat, shopping at Wal-Mart. They are an enigma of comedy, a kaleidoscope of the absurd, and we thank them for gracing us with their presence. We are not laughing at them, we are laughing with them!

From outdated hairstyles and attire and embarrassing matching themed outfits to compromising poses and regrettable photographer editing, the humor never ends. You’ll find it difficult to breathe through the hiccups, so pace yourself.
