5 Ways to Kill Time While Commuting to Work
Whether you’re taking the metro, the subway, or carpooling, nothing is more precious than time. Why not spend your time doing something productive or at least entertaining. Here are five interesting ideas to keep you busy while commuting to work.
1. Read a book.
While you probably won’t get to finish your novel in just one sitting, unless you’re a speed reader, reading is a great way to make time fly by. Why not take an adventure while commuting using your imagination? You will be surprised at how many books you will read by using this method. Next time you’re on the go, grab a book, your nook, a tablet, or an ipad.
2. Download some apps.
Browse the Apple or Google Play Store for the latest apps and updates. Update your Gmail and Yahoo accounts, and look out for the latest games on the rise. You may actually stumble upon something worth the download.
3. Adjust your schedule.
You have so many things to do but don’t know where to start. Maybe you forgot your mom’s birthday last year. This is the perfect time to schedule your meetings, the dentist appointment you keep forgetting about, and of course your last summer trip with friends before school starts.
4. Check your emails.
If you’re no stranger to technology and are quite the popular person, I’m sure your inbox is filled with emails from mom, dad, college friends, and your boss. This is the perfect time to clear out all of that spam taking up space. Make new filters for sorting through the thousands of emails you receive.
5. Call your parents.
While rushing from place to place back and forth, between work and school, it’s easy to forget about checking up on your parents. Why not give them a good morning call to catch up and find out what they are doing? I’m sure they would be glad to hear from you.
