4 Classic Holiday Movies to Enjoy in 2022
Hot chocolate, chilly weather, Christmas decorations, sharing stories by the fireplace – just like that, the holiday season is upon us once more! And with it, it brings the relentless desire to grab some popcorn, make some cocoa, and enjoy none other than the best holiday movies out there. Though there are plenty of new festive movies that made their way to the big screen in 2022, this year is all about taking a trip down memory lane. That’s why I’m here to give you a run-down of the four classic holiday movies to enjoy in 2022.
1. Christmas With the Kranks (2004). A timeless holiday classic, this movie simply can’t be beat. It follows the story of a couple who, much to the dismay of their neighbors, decide to skip Christmas by trading in their usual celebrations for a relaxing tropical getaway. However, when they find out their daughter is surprising them with a visit home for the holidays, their plans are turned upside down. Do they manage to salvage Christmas for their family? Find out for yourself when you give this classic holiday film a try.

2. How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). Is it really the holiday season if the Grinch isn’t there to tell you how much he hates the holidays? I’m willing to bet that the answer is a solid ‘no’! Get cozy on the couch to watch this Dr. Seuss-based movie, starring Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen. This movie gets bonus points for the cutie that is Max. That’s all I have to say!
3. Home Alone 2 (1992). I think we can all agree that neither the Home Alone original nor the sequels could live up to this unforgettable Christmas film, taking place in one of the most famous cities in the world: New York! Kevin McCallister succeeded in outwitting the Wet Bandits once, but can he do it again when he finds himself lost in The Big Apple?

4. Elf (2003). In one of his most well-known movies, Will Ferrell takes on the role of Buddy the Elf, who – just like our Home Alone hero – travels to a city completely unknown to him: New York. Except unlike Kevin, Buddy is on a mission to find his human father (yes, it’s an important specification) after being raised at the North Pole by elves. A funny and touching story, Elf is an undeniable hit with viewers every single year.
