The Juice Fast
Sometimes it is necessary to clear out the clutter and start fresh. As college students, we do this constantly, clearing out the old and making space for the new, each school year. A new semester is upon us now. Why not start Fall 2012 with a new form of cleanse: a detoxification of the body.
Juice diets are wonderful because they free the body of damaging chemicals and toxins. You are able to consume all the nutrients that the body needs in one simple glass without ingesting any of the extra unhealthy additives found in processed foods. The cleanse also resets your body’s physiology, making weight loss more of a reality.
Recipes vary according to your own personal needs and taste. Below are some equally healthy and tasty recipes to start your juice diet.
Green Juice
1/2 Cucumber
Six leaves Kale
Two Apples
Four stalks Celery
Two cups Spinach
1″ Ginger root
