5 Must-See Spots in Denmark
When the pandemic comes to an end and it’s finally safe to travel again, what’s the first place you’re going? If you’re looking for a country with a rich history, beautiful nature, and plenty of exciting attractions, Denmark is the place for you! That’s why I want to share with you 5 must-see spots in Denmark. If these don’t convince you to visit this lovely country as soon as possible, I don’t know what will.
1. Nyhavn Harbor
No words can explain the beauty of Nyhavn Harbor. Colorful buildings, beautiful reflections, and cozy cafes are all plentiful when you visit this popular attraction. Day or night, summer or winter, Nyhavn is a stunning sight to behold. However, your best bet would be to go when it’s brighter out, as that’s when the buildings reflect in the water in the most incredible way. If you’re looking for that Insta-worthy shot, Nyhavn needs to be at the top of your bucket list. The best thing is that you can spend as much or as little money as you want to. You can stroll around for free and enjoy the views, or you can grab a bite or souvenir if you’re willing to spend some money. Copenhagen isn’t cheap, so come prepared!

2. Camp Adventure
Are you adventurous? Do you like heights? Are you a fan of scenic views and nature? Then Camp Adventure in Rønnede is a must-visit for you! Not only can you climb a 45-meter spiraling tower and check out the views of the forest from above, but you can partake in some awesome activities closer to the ground. Outside of the ever-popular glamping tents that are available for rent, you can climb, swing, and glide through the treetops on an obstacle course. If you’re looking to escape the city and have fun in nature, Camp Adventure is where you need to go.

3. Egeskov Castle
Danish castles really give the famous German Castle Road a run for its money! My particular favorite castle that I visited in Denmark was Egeskov Castle. Its construction was finished in the 1500s — that’s absolutely insane to imagine. It’s been around for several centuries, and there’s so much history to it. Built initially with defense purposes in mind, this castle has housed some incredibly well-known families. Now, it’s a museum with a lovely park to explore. If you’re keen on learning about historical landmarks while reveling in their beauty, then make sure to pay Egeskov Castle a visit.

4. Møns Klint
Sick of that bustling city life? Tired of crowded tourist attractions? It’s time you packed your backpack and made your way to Møns Klint. Møns Klint is actually just the name of the main cliff you can hike, but the entire nature reserve in its vicinity is by far the most memorable spot I visited in Denmark. As an avid hiker, I found that there was plenty to keep me occupied and entertained for hours. There are trails for hikers of all levels — so whether you’re looking to take it easy or challenge yourself, you’ll find the right trails for you. No matter which approach you opt for, you’ll have the chance to enjoy killer views, scenic outlooks, dense forests, and crystal clear seawater. Come here on a sunny day to enjoy the sea’s unique beauty to its fullest!

5. Tivoli Gardens
If you’re more keen on that touristy city vibe, you’ll really love this attraction in the middle of Copenhagen itself. Tivoli Gardens is one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, dating back to 1843. But just because it’s old, doesn’t mean it’s outdated or unworthy of your time! Tivoli Gardens is a sight to behold, regardless of whether you want to go on the carnival-style rides, walk through the gorgeous gardens, or watch a movie on the big screen (they have some pretty cool theater-style viewings they organize). Kids and adults alike will love Tivoli for the neat activities and sights it brings to the table. And, unlike the previous spots I mentioned, Tivoli is actually more enjoyable at night! When the sun is down and the night creeps in, the twinkly garden lights turn on, making for some stellar views.
