There are many different jobs out there that pay well and require little to no job experience.

1. Micro Jobs: A micro job typically consists of various, small online tasks that are rewarded with small fees, ranging from cents to dollars. Sites like Amazon’s Mechanical Turk (often referred to as M-Turk), Clickworker, ySense, Appen, and EasyShift offer tasks that would fall into the category of micro jobs. Tasks can range from information gathering to transcribing audio to video processing. Lauren Miles Brunelli of the Balance says the following about M-Turk, “Amazon’s Mechanical Turk lists human intelligence tasks (HITs) that remote workers choose and complete for a fee that’s set by the requester.”
2. Data Entry: Today, online data entry is one of the most popular work-at-home jobs. With a data entry job, you will most likely be an independent contractor of a company and not an employee, which can give you the freedom to work on other projects! Brunelli writes, “Data entry operators may access a company’s infrastructure remotely or use crowdsourcing technologies. Data entry can include fields such as basic general transcription; however, most transcription tasks require additional experience.” Data entry jobs mainly consist of occupations including typists, word processors, coders, and clerks. Though the work can be repetitive, you get paid more money for completing more tasks, and doing so quickly!
3. Website Testing: Do you feel a need to share your opinions regarding different websites, their layouts, or user-friendliness? Website testing requires little to no experience and involves you reviewing different elements of a website, such as how it looks, how it operates, how it appealed to you, etc. At Free Work from Home Guide, writer Shay notes that “You will need some basic equipment like a computer with a microphone, broadband internet connection, and an updated web browser. Most tests take between 5 – 25 minutes to complete and pay an average of $10 per test.” Sites that offer website testing jobs include StartUpLift, UserTesting, and TestingTime.

Surveys: Gathering different personal opinions is what companies use to improve products, what social scientists use to gather general opinions on pressing topics, etc. Taking surveys is a way to share your voice all while getting paid! Typically surveys will ask for demographic information, such as age, state of residence, gender, educational background, and income range, then ask a variety of questions on a specific topic. The time range to complete surveys can range from 5-25 minutes, depending on the site you are using, and payment for completing surveys includes PayPal, gift cards, and more. Customer Service: The cost of renting a space and paying for certain utilities is too much for many companies nowadays, so many are switching from having employees in an office space to offering remote work. From Amazon to Apple, many companies are offering remote customer service jobs that you can work in the comfort of your own home. If you’re working a customer service job from home, you’ll want to have reliable internet, proficiency in English (knowing multiple languages is always a plus), computer skills, and a phone/headset where you can make and receive calls.
