NanaNanaNanaNana BATMAN!
At 12:07 A.M. I was ready to have my mind blown. Alas, there were technical difficulties, and we were barely getting to the previews. Don’t get me wrong, there were some pretty great previews. I still can’t wait for Recall, and The Hobbit made me squeal. Also, Oz: The Great and Powerful, that looks amazing as well. Anyway, after those were over, the theater went silent. My body was ready. My mind was set. It was time for the dark knight to rise.
At first, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) reminded me of One Tree Hill’s Nathan Scott in season 5 (a has-been, down and out) and it seems as though the batman is hanging up the suit for good. Of course, that’s not the case. I really don’t want to say too much about this movie, because it will spoil the epicness.
Here’s what I will tell you. Anne Hathaway is a great Catwoman. This guy, Tom Hardy, he’s got some raw talent. I love the way he portrayed Bane. Joseph Gordon-Levitt…need I say more? Hah, just kidding. But really, the guy’s got a gift. Mr. Gordon-Levitt, if you ever read this…Marry me? Back to the other actors. Gary Oldman was excellent as Commissioner James Gordon. You may recognize Miranda (Marion Cotillard) A.K.A. Mal from Inception. She makes the movie a page turner! And as always, Morgan Freeman was simply wonderful.
Now, I would like to take some time and pray for the family and friends of those killed and injured in Aurora, Colorado. When you go to a movie theater, you shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not you get to see the movie more than once. You shouldn’t have to live in fear. I’m not one to push my views on anyone, but this is absurd. Why people kill innocent civilians, I will never know, but I do know this. There is no reason for this to deter you from living. Just tell your loved ones that you love and care about them. Go see movies that you want to see. Go play at parks. Life is very fragile. You never know when it’s your time to go. Enjoy what you have.
