Oreo, Peanut Butter, Brownies, Oh My.
The Cookie Monster is here again with another recipe from the internet. The following recipe also comes from picky-palate.com. You can find it by looking up Oreo and Peanut Butter Brownie Cakes (or click here). The previous article posted might have been a little tough for a novice at the art of cooking. This recipe is significantly simpler with less mixing and molding.
Here is what the recipe says will be needed:
OREO AND PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIE CAKES
Start to finish: 30 minutes
Servings: 12
1 box brownie mix, 8×8 inch size
The brownie mix will also require extra ingredients such as milk and eggs at the discretion of the mix chosen. Be sure to pick those up.
Oreo Cookies (double stuff or original)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cupcake pan
Paper liners
Heat the oven 350 degrees F. Line the cupcake pan with paper liners.
Take an Oreo and spread some peanut butter on the top. Do not use much, unless a strong taste of peanut butter is the desired result. The cakes come out with a strong taste of peanut without very much. Next, take another Oreo and place it on top and smear that this Oreo with peanut butter too.
Now is a good point to prepare the brownie mix using the directions on the box purchased. Place a little of the brownie batter at the bottom of each liner followed by the Oreo stack made previously. If the second half of this step is not followed the Oreo can be seen at the bottom of the finished cakes. This additional step is entirely necessary and does not affect the taste.
Now, drizzle batter on top of the Oreo stacks, making sure it runs down the sides. The idea is to cover Oreo's completely with brownie batter.
Finally, place them in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes. Let them cool. Be ready to eat and enjoy.
