The Lead: Sexual harassment stories continue to pile up

Over the last few weeks, we’ve heard of more and more notable people who have allegedly sexually assaulted others, and a Princeton professor has been added to the list.

The Daily Princetonian reports, “University graduate student Yeohee Im alleged that engineering professor Sergio Verdu sexually harassed her over the course of two months, according to a report obtained by the Huffington Post.”

Verdu was required to take an eight hour training session but was not suspended or terminated.

Cornell joins other universities in helping Puerto Rican students

Cornell University has joined other universities such as NYU and Brown University in helping Puerto Rican students who have struggled in the face of Hurricane Maria

The New York Post reports, “Cornell University is offering a free semester of study for up to 58 students from Puerto Rico’s main public university system.”

Students who take up the offer will be given free tuition, room and board.
