Poverty
Reducing poverty only can benefit the USA by giving humanitarian aid to those in need of it. By providing humanitarian aid, the United States can build stronger allies. This can widen the US’s opportunities to do greater things.
“Extreme poverty often refers living on less than $1.90 per day,” According to USAID“s website. The United States is a first world country, providing workers with a higher pay than most. By providing sources of help towards other countries the United States builds a stronger country, where others can look up to.
According to the UN, “The Extreme Poverty rates have been cut by more than half since 1990.” Although this is a great achievement the United States can easily provide more help. The US has been worrying more about themselves since Donald Trump has been elected. Instead of helping those in third world countries the president is blocking others out of the country.
By working with other countries like England, Germany, the United States can attract more people. Different countries might be able to help the United States in return by helping Democratic Republic of Congo. “A child born today is twice as likely to survive into adolescence as in 1990, while malnutrition and youth illiteracy have both substantially decreased”, according to the UN. The USA and other countries have been working hard to stop poverty and it seems like its helping build stronger connections.
There are people who only have one meal a day. Americans don’t seem to connect to those who are suffering daily. Although there are many people who help decrease poverty, most people are out there for themselves. A lot of people don’t have the heart of helping the poor. Many people in America believe that if a person works hard, they’ll be successful. However, some people don’t have the resources. That person in another country should be helped because they could be the next Albert Einstein. We wouldn’t know. By helping other people in other countries America is really getting the benefits
The UN has been doing a great job helping those in need with the United States but there is always need of improvement. “By seizing this opportunity toghther with our partners in the U.S government, we will advance U.S leadership on this global priority and enhance U.S national security,” according to USIAD Vison for Extreme Poverty .
