The Next Hire The NBA MUST Make
After an eventful NBA finals, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh can finally sleep easy after they won their first title since they joined forces in Miami. The NBA season may be over, but every off season brings new challenges that must be addressed by commissioner David Stern.
In my opinion, the number one issue that must be addressed by the commissioner is quite simple. Commissioner Stern MUST hire an NBA fashion consultant.
Russell Westbrook, Dwayne Wade and Kevin Durant all have major issues with dressing themselves. It is actually unbelievable that grown men such as them have no idea how to wear clothes.
Let’s start with Durant. Kevin, why on earth do you need to wear a backpack to your post game press conferences? What in God’s name is so important that you need to pack in your bag and keep with you while you are talking to the media? But Durant is not as bad as his good buddy Russell Westbrook.
Russell Westbrook is notorious for a terrible wardrobe choice in a post game press conference. He rocked a shirt with images of fishing lures as well as lensless glasses with a red frame. The question was quite clear. Why would you ever wear a pair of glasses with no frames? Also, why would you wear this idiotic shirt on purpose? The world may never know.
Finally a couple days ago I saw Dwayne Wade’s wardrobe choice. It was the final straw. He was wearing glasses with flip-up sunglass shades. Why in the hell would you ever wear those indoors? I immediately thought: That’s it. NBA players are convinced that looking like complete idiots is somehow cool.
So David Stern: Either teach NBA players how to properly wear clothing, or hire a fashion consultant for all NBA players.
