2 SeniorAdvice.com Scholarship Opportunities For Student Caregivers and Volunteers
Because they believe in the value of advanced education for those who give back to the elderly community, SeniorAdvice.com is offering two $1,000 scholarships to students who will be enrolled in a college or university for the Fall of 2016 academic semester, according to a recent press release.
A leading resource for housing solutions and advice for seniors, SeniorAdvice.com believes students should be honored for their devotion to elderly seniors, understanding there is a lot to be learned from spending time and energy in the senior community. The website is offering one scholarship for a student caregiver and one scholarship for a student volunteer.
A $1,000 SeniorAdvice Caregiver Scholarship will go to an eligible student who has been a caregiver for an adult relative, and a $1,000 SeniorAdvice Volunteer Scholarship will go to a second eligible student who has served as a volunteer in a senior living community within the past year. These scholarships can be used towards tuition and/or books.
Interested students can apply for one or both scholarships by emailing the appropriate information including the two completed questions, a copy of transcript and video file or essay to scholarship@senioradvice.com.
