The 7 Stages of Starting a Low Carb Diet as Told By The Real Housewives
We’ve all heard the phrase, “new year- new me” about a hundred times before. Basically, it refers to the fact that we want to start some new fad diet so we can look amazing by the start of spring break. Most dieticians suggest cutting carbs completely from your diet so you can see a change in your body in the quickest way possible, but most people don’t realize how difficult that can be. If you don’t know what to expect, check out the seven stages as told by these housewives who know all about it.
1. Stage 1 : The optimistic outlook
So you start out on your new diet and throw away all of the unhealthy foods in your pantry. You’re positive about your new diet and you’re on your way to a bangin’ Victoria’s Secret body.
2. Stage 2 : The bragging rights
You tell all of your friends how in shape you’re going to get from your new diet, and you try to get them to participate in it as well. Everyone tells you that you’re crazy but you tell them that they’ll wish they had started when you did.
3. Stage 3: Determination
You feel like quitting after day two because all you can think about is how Dominos is having a special on their large pizzas, but you can’t eat that many carbs.
4. Stage 4 : The Research
You’re getting bored with the only few food options that you can eat, and you want to find more delicious things that you can stuff into your mouth. You hit the Internet looking for delicious foods that are low in carbs… ZUCHINNI NOODLES FOR THE WIN!
5. Stage 5 : The “I quit” stage
You’re only a few days into your diet, and you feel like you just can’t do it anymore. You take a day off and tell yourself that you’ll start again tomorrow after you eat a Kit-Kat bar.
6. Stage 6 : Restarting
You binged on all the unhealthy food you could think of and you’re ready to restart your diet. Again. For the fourth time.
7. Stage 7 : Conquer your diet
Yep, you’ve got it all down now. You’ve learned how to eat healthily while still eating what you want… occasionally.
