6 Things To Look Forward To After Finals
Despite the approaching holidays, we all know that most of us aren’t feeling too merry right now. That’s because it’s that time of year: finals season.
In between all the work-induced mental breakdowns and food binges, make sure that you save a little bit of time to daydream about the glorious things you have to look forward to after this week of hell.
1. Time with friends.
“Hello … it’s me. I was wondering if after all these tests you’d like to meet.” — You on the phone after pushing through the end of the semester.
There’s nothing better than celebrating your hard work by spending some time with your friends. Know that in just a couple weeks you’ll be free to have some quality fun with your favorite people!
2. Netflix binges.
There’s no need to move any longer, friend. Plug in that HDMI cable and have at it, there are no limits to the amount of entertainment at your fingertips. Who knows, maybe you’ll finally get the chance to finish all nine seasons of “The Office.”
3. Home-cooked meals.
You’ll waltz home expecting your parents to break out all of your favorites. This time you’ll be excessively eating out of leisure, not just because of your impending academic doom.
4. Presents
They call it the season of giving, but damn is it the time to receive! After months of dropping hints, it’s time to see if people lived up to your materialistic expectations. Where’s my Apple Watch? Probably still in the Apple Store, but it’s okay because honestly it’s the thought that counts.
Whatever people give you, be grateful for! At least they aren’t what your professors gave you for the holidays … TESTS AND BROKEN DREAMS.
5. Warmth
It’s so cold … leaving your frozen apartment, where you can’t afford heating, to your cozy home is the best feeling. Bundle up with all of your warm blankets and relax; there are no more worries for the next few weeks.
6. Time for creativity.
We all have creative endeavors that we keep in the back of our heads but rarely act upon. Well, over break there’s enough room in your schedule to pick up a paint brush or have a crack at Adobe Illustrator. You don’t have any excuses anymore; it’s up to you to pick up and perfect an artistic hobby.
