Three Must See Films This Summer!

Reading may not be everyone’s forte! So I’ve taken the liberty of going another route…cinema.

If you have a pulse, it’s kind of hard to miss the promotion(s) that are populating every medium plausible, be it Twitter, YouTube/Vevo, Facebook, LinkedIN etc, with the upcoming summer “blockbusters”. Therein, I have conducted research to figure out which movies would be best worth your time, (and let’s face it, your hard earned cash too).

My first film for recommendation may not excite most, but if you’re a big kid ,like me, it’ll do the trick. “Brave” is the newest addition to the Disney/Pixar family. The Irish Princess, Princess Merida, is set to participate in an old fashioned tradition, an arranged marriage. Yet,like most Disney Princess’s, Merida wants to set out on her own path and live a life of her own. Personally, I am excited to see this thrilling tale and to see the, inevitable, moral conclusion. Find out how brave Princess Merida is, when the film releases on June 22nd.

The second induction is set to release about a month from now, yet I cannot contain my impending excitement. The film is part of Universal’s centennial celebration and it does so with quite the bang. “Savages” is a film that includes “Gossip Girls” Blake Lively and “Friday Night Lights” Taylor Kitsch. The Oliver Stone flick looks to be about the perils of love and drugs. Yet, the film seems to hold an unexpected twist that seems to be foreseeable, but with knowing Stone’s previous works, I highly doubt that! The film is set to release on July 6th and I think it will definitely have audiences and critics thoroughly pleased. For the last of this list, I had to make it an even tie. These last two films are for all of the DC/Marvel fans out there.

The third installment of the DC trilogy, is one that most cannot wait to see in theaters, Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises”. I’m not even a huge comic consumer but I have been a huge Batman fan for as long as I can remember and cannot wait to see the film. Not only does Christian Bale return as the caped crusader, but the beautiful Anne Hathaway appears as the newest addition to the cast as Catwoman. This film looks to hold cinematic pleasures that will excite everyone! Not only am I excited to see “The Dark Knight Rises”, but I’m also very excited to see “The Amazing Spiderman”. However, I am more so excited to see Emma Stone’s portrayal of Gwen Stacy, than I am for the whole film.

However you decide to spend you cash at the cinema complex this summer it’s all up to you, but these films will definitely be worth you coins, (and time, or so I think)!
