Far too often, we attach negative connotations with  celebrities that are prevalent today in our society. One person who has been a hot topic all over the news recently, is Demi Lovato. The striking 23 year old just released her album titled “confident” a few weeks ago, and I must admit it is one of her strongest albums yet. The singer touches on her past relationship with her father, her issues with body image, and her past struggles with bullying. She’s overcome the rehab and the drugs, and found out who she’s really meant to be.She’s not perfect,and that is what makes her the ideal role model for girls and women across the nation.

You heard it right, what’s wrong with being confident?  Demi has taught young women across the nation to love themselves while working towards achieving their goals.

There is no one better to look up to than someone who can be completely honest. She admits that she has messed up before, but everyone should be given another chance to start new. “Where I am today… I still have my ups and downs, but I take it one day at a time and I just hope that I can be the best that I can possibly be, not only for myself, but also young people that are out there today that need someone to look up to.”- Demi

It’s not very often that you can come across an artist who is completely raw when it comes to their lyrical abilities. Demi lays her emotions out there for everyone to see, and we are forever thankful for that.

It’s inspiring to see someone in the spotlight who can stand up against bullying. Having gone through it herself, she makes it her mission to stop the hatred, and spread love.
