Zayn Malik Attacked By Bill Maher; Compared To Boston Bomber
In a recent move that has been taken as Islamophobic by the Internet and One Direction fans, Bill Maher decided to compare Zayn Malik to the Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
“Just tell me two things, Zayn. Which one in the band were you? And where were you during the Boston Marathon?” said Maher during a segment of his “Real Time” show on HBO.
Yeah, he just compared him to the Boston Bomber in case you missed that.

Maher has had a long history of Islamophobic and anti-Muslim comments and talks in the past. He is opposed to organized religion, but he is even more opposed to Islam, as he regards it as a threat to civilization.
“Islam is the only religion that acts like the mafia that will fucking kill you if you say the wrong thing,” said Maher in one of his statements.
Recently, the online community has demanded an apology from Maher for his jibe at Malik. The Change.org petition has 6,345 supporters thus far and the required amount is 7,500.
It sounds like Maher is adamant to not make an apology concerning the incident.
“’Do something useful with your life’ is my response to the people who are asking for an apology,” Maher said. “I understand why teenage girls are upset; they’re teenage girls. Anybody else that is upset is acting like a teenage girl.”
Maher’s comments on Malik and his religion are perhaps the cherry on top of the ice cream that has been the Islamophobic and offensive tweets sent his way since he left One Direction.
“Let’s be honest, the reason Zayn Malik left One Direction is because he looks like & probably is an ISIS member & Allah said come home Zayn,” read one of the many tweets.

This isn’t the first incident and it seems unlikely that it will be the last time he gets flack concerning his political stance or his race. Malik has in the past supported Palestine and has even received death threats on Twitter for simply using the hashtag #FreePalestine.
