“FSU London Ladies”: J. Michelle Bomalaski

“FSU London Ladies” presents its lady of the week, J. Michelle Bomalaski!

Florida State University has an amazing international program, and according to their site, “Florida State is among the nation’s elite for study abroad totals.” The London program in particular has much to offer, and the students that make up the program are intelligent, unique, and driven. So it’s my pleasure to feature these lovely FSU London ladies!

J. Michelle is an an Interdisciplinary Social Science Major who was born in Indianapolis, then moved to Texas, then Tampa, then Biloxi, then St. Louis, and then Melbourne Florida. In her spare time, she like to take her cat, Dean, out for walks and craft with her older sister while drinking Peach Schnapps. She is also really into baking and cake decorating and hopes to work at a bakery for a year before going to grad schoo. She is afraid of water animals and so is very cautious around water and hates going into the ocean. She also lives off of cheap Chinese food. Read her interview below!

Q: What is your favorite color? If so, why?

JMB: Yellow has been my favorite color since I was little. I shared a room with my two sisters for a year, by choice, and we painted our walls our three favorite colors, my section was yellow. Yellow is a bright and happy color. It’s hard to think about why your favorite color is your favorite color; I’m just attracted to it and every time I see it I get a little excited.

Q: Are you a cat or dog person?

JMB: I’m more of a chinchilla person.

Q: What’s your favorite food and why?

JMB: Another difficult question! I love to bake and decorate cakes, but I’d have to say that my all time favorite foods are a combination of sesame chicken and curly fries. It’s weird but they are my comfort foods!

Q: Would you rather lose your sex organs forever or gain 200lbs for the rest of your life?

JMB: I’d rather gain 200lbs. I’ll be happy and fat! I’ll lay in bed and my boyfriend can bring me cheese burgers!

Q: What’s your favorite article of clothing and why?

JMB: My favorite article of clothing is my first coaching shirt. I used to coach soccer when I was in high school, I coached 12-year-old boys and girls. Instead of trophies we all ordered t-shirts. I had all of them sign it and I plan on keeping it forever.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?

JMB: I want to be in a house surrounded by 10,000 cats and dogs.

Q: Who is your role model?

JMB: Whoopi Goldberg. Because Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.

Q: Would you rather have knives for fingers or penises for fingers?

JMB: I would rather have knives, for two reasons. One, I could be more like Edward Scissorhands and two I could dull them down or have butter knife fingers and then wear gloves and be able to scratch or cut the crusts off of sandwiches for people, try doing that with soft penis fingers…

Q: Who is your celebrity crush?

JMB: Do I have to just pick one?! Hmmmm…It’s a tie between Emile Hirsch and Mathew Gray Gubler. If you need an explanation just Google them and you’ll understand.

Q: What’s your favorite place in the world?

JMB: My favorite place in the world is anywhere I can be with my siblings. I have two sisters and a brother and we are all weird. We have so much fun together. For example, we buy onesies from Target then wear them out to bars.

Q: Would you rather have uncontrollable gas at work for the rest of your life or uncontrollable gas on every first date for the rest of your life?

JMB: Uncontrollable gas on every first date for the rest of my life. A couple that farts together, stays together.

Q: Do you have tattoos? How many and of what? What inspired them?

JMB: I have four. The first tattoo I ever got was when I was 18. I got the quote, “Happiness is only real when shared” on my rib cage. This quote is from my favorite book, a book that I read every time I get upset. The quote also applies to my family and encourages me to go out and be open to new people and experiences. My second one is a triangle with the point down. This is the Mind, Body, Spirit triangle. I got it when I was 20 years old after working at a YMCA summer camp. I have attended that camp since I was 7 years old and it is a major part of my life still today. My third tattoo is a flower on my rib cage. I got it when I was 20 also. I went on a trip to California with my best friend and it’s a long story that ends up with us getting matching tattoos from an award-winning artist for only $100 (which is a bargain!). My fourth tattoo is a hot air balloon on my thigh. I just got it while in London. It is a watercolor tattoo and it means so many different things to me, which I won’t get into. I love all of my tattoos so much and I plan on getting more! Wolf pack tattoo!?!
