NBC, CBS and Fox have sued Dish Network because of the AutoHop feature in the satellite carrier’s DVR. The service, which has received a lot of support from customers according to the Associated Press, has been accused by the networks of bootlegging the prime time schedule for on demand content, with Fox adding that it would be the destruction of the current advertising ecosystem.
Fox told the online site Mashable according to NPR that they had no choice but to resort to legal action.
What do you think? Should these features be made available?
