With finals soon upon us, it makes sense to find a few ways to relax. A good playlist can keep students in high spirits during such a stressful time in the semester, and can even act as a chill study playlist. Below are some relaxing, but pretty upbeat songs to help power through exam cram time.
  1. Dan Croll – “Compliment Your Soul:” This song might not be the best to study to because it’s so adorably catchy, but it’ll definitely give you a happy boost of energy during a study break.

  2. Amber Run – “I Found:” This somber, chilling track is beautiful but also relaxing enough to maintain your focus while studying.

  3. Misun – “Superstitions:” Misun’s unique, funky beat will perk listeners up immediately. It’s a little bit psychedelic, but still light and contemporary enough for a chill study session.

  4. Priory – “Weekend:” This one’s a fun beat that’ll have you racing for the weekend, as well as the end of finals.

  5. Hozier – “Work Song:” Hozier’s definitely an artist to watch and this deep, moving track will keep you pushing through until the end of exams.

  6. Us the Duo – ”Shake It Off” (Taylor Swift cover): This low-key T-Swift cover is a must listen. It’s super chill, but still maintains the original’s upbeat vibe.

  7. Missy Higgins – NYE: This song’s fun and upbeat, without being overpowering or obnoxious, so it’s ideal for your study playlist.

  8. FKA Twigs – “Two Weeks:” FKA Twigs’s contemporary R&B sound makes this song perfect for de-stressing.

  9. Jhene Aiko – “Promises:” This light, R&B-pop track is another one that’s great for relaxing during a break, or keeping you focused while studying.

  10. Wet – “You’re the Best:” Wet’s indie-pop sound isn’t overly-glamorous or “in your face,” but it gets your attention and keeps it.

  11. Raury – “God’s Whisper:” Another artist on the rise, Raury made waves when he released this tribal-gospel sounding tune. It’s powerful in the most soothing way.

  12. Ryn Weaver – “OctaHate:” Somehow Ryn Weaver has managed to created a ridiculously catchy tune, without it being distracting to the point of annoyance – which is great for studying. It’s like a breath of fresh air for the pop genre.

  13. Ane Brun & Linnea Olsson – “Halo” (Beyonce cover): This cover is just straight-up beautiful. It stays true to the soft sound of the original, but features a unique and relaxing indie sound.
