The following fitness apps are all tried and tested, and some of the best rated on the market. Check them out, and consider incorporating them into your fitness routine.

  1. Hot5 Fitness

Hot5 archives five-minute fitness videos. The videos come in various categories, such as ab and core workouts, leg workouts, yoga, etc. The app also tracks the number of calories burned after a video and monitors weekly progress. Each video also describes the difficulty of the workout, and lists any necessary equipment, such as a chair or stability ball. According to the app’s developer, “you can do 5 minutes at the end of a jog to work your core, 25 minutes of yoga flow in your hotel room or 45 minutes of full body workouts and feel the burn!”

Part fitness app and part social network, this app combines a motivating fitness community with unique fitness routines. This app allows users to share photos to inspire and motivate others. It also offers customizable workouts. Enter your fitness goal, skill level, available equipment, etc. to create an ideal workout routine. The app also tracks weight and logs other activities such as running or biking. Overall, there’s just so much going on with this app, it’d be best to just download it and test it out.

Like the PumpUp app, Argus does it all. This fitness app counts steps, calculates calories, and GPS maps your cycling or running. It also creates a food diary of all your meals. Argus allows users to set daily goals for steps, sleep time and water intake. This fitness app creates customized circuit training workouts. Simply choose your workout length and desired target areas such as upper body, lower body, core strength, back strength etc., and it’ll design the ideal circuit workout, without depending on weights or other gym equipment. The app also times each workout and alerts users when it’s time to switch to a new workout. Overall, Sworkit is a simple, no-fuss fitness app.
