School Stress Relief Doesn't Just Have To Be The Closest Bar
School have you stressing? Feel like you are only one more assignment from camping out at the UGL?

Don’t get me started on how much work professors have assigned and how they must magically confer with one another because every assignment is due on practically the same day. Whether it’s an English paper, math exam or an Econ quiz all on the same day, we all have those times where the work piles up so high, the easiest solution might be napping or Netflixing to avoid it all.
Well, we’re Illinois students, so even though we know the pulls of avoiding it all, the bottom line is we get our stuff done. But that doesn’t mean we don’t like to have fun when the work is over. The obvious answer to all our problems is to hit the closest bar. From a Kam’s Blue Guy to a Firehaus Fishbowl, the campus bars are great escapes after a rough week of classes.
But they don’t have to be the only thing we do.
It’s worth changing up the routine every once in a while and exploring all that campus and the surrounding area provide. Get your stress relief in different forms.
So maybe check out that new art exhibit at the Krannert Art Museum or see a play at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Those are two different places, I can tell you from first hand experience at showing up to the wrong one.

Maybe try a new restaurant in downtown Champaign or downtown Urbana. Green Street is great, but one can only handle so much Chipotle before change comes a calling.
Before hitting up the usual spots, try to think of a new activity that will still help you destress but is a different take on the ordinary. Most only stay four years in the Champaign-Urbana area, so be sure to explore the less typical activities before the time is gone.
