May 18 was National Bike to Work Day. Across the US, those who decided to got on their bikes and commuted using the bike lanes, pedaling towards their destinations. The organization Walk Score recently assigned a Bike Score to some cities because of their bike friendly environment.

Minneapolis topped the list, followed by Portland, Oregon, San Francisco and Boston, according to a report from NPR. New York City, Chicago, Seattle and Washington also made the top ten list.

As a trend is noticed in some of the country’s major cities, should there be more bike friendly cities? Should cities make a plan to include bike lanes and access for those who would want to bike instead of using a car or public transport? Would you bike to your destination if it was offered in your city?
