Game of Thrones Inspired Accessories

Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on your point of view) we don’t all live in Westeros. Women don’t spend their days in lush dresses, adorned by ornate jewelry and the intricate plaits that we see on Game of Thrones. If I had it my way, I’d stock up my closet with every Game of Thrones inspired gown I could find. I’d wear them around campus without everyone gawking at me like I’m about to attend some Game of Thrones cos-play event. Sadly, I live in the real world, so traipsing around campus in extravagant gowns (or even leather leggings and a tunic) would more than likely be frowned upon. While no one can really get away with wearing the over-the-top, albeit gorgeous, costumes, these Game of Thrones inspired accessories are much more wearable and accessible.

1. Tiara Headband

Feeling like a princess? Give your hair some instant glam with this Game of Thrones inspired hair piece. Its delicate gold details resemble something a Southern lady might wear.

2. Claw Necklace

This toned-down version of Daenerys Targaryen’s claw necklace can give your outfit some edge, without being too over-the-top.

3. Butterfly Necklace 

This Sansa Stark inspired statement necklace features a black onyx center piece that contrasts the feminine features of the necklace. It’s easily wearable, but it won’t prevent you from channeling your inner Stark.
