3 Fashion Trends Men Do Not Understand

It’s no secret that men and women have completely different fashion senses. Have you ever looked at your male friends, relatives, coworkers, or classmates and thought, “Who let them out of the house like that?” I know I have! I have had to make my guy friends and relatives change before going out in public to prevent them from embarrassing themselves, while asking myself “What the hell?!” Believe it or not, men feel the same way about fashion trends that women have picked up. There are times guys look at us and ask themselves, “Why, just why?”

Top Knots

Men do not get the top knot! I know–I barely believed it myself. There’s something about the top knot men just don’t get. Maybe it is the sophisticated appearance or the fact that it pulls all of the hair out of our face; they just do not appreciate the simplicity of the top knot.

High Waist Pants

I have literally had classmates come up to me and ask, “Why are girls wearing their pants so high?” I wanted to respond with “Have you seen a picture in any gossip or fashion magazine?!” It doesn’t matter whether it is high waist slacks or high waist shorts, guys do not understand it. Weird, right?

Colorful or Patterned Leggings

I have seen my male friends pick on each other’s girlfriends for wearing colorful or patterned leggings. They do not find them nearly as delightful as us women do. You would think the fact that leggings (no matter what color or pattern they are) make your ass look astonishing would have boys begging us to wear them, but it is not the case at all, unfortunately.
