My name is Marie, I am currently a senior at the University of Florida. I am an English major and hope to one day become a writer/editor for a popular magazine. Writing has always been a passion of mine since the 8th grade. I have been reading ever since my aunt from Jamaica (R.I.P) taught me how. She is the reason for all of my writing success and I owe everything to her.
I am originally from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, but would like to live in north Florida soon. I have an older sister whom I share all of my deepest darkest secrets with. My mom is my rock, and the reason why I always strive to be the best that I can be to make her proud. My father is also a part of my life; though I may not see him all the time, I'll always appreciate him for opening up my mind to all different types of music in the world which has gotten me through a lot.
I'm hoping that with this opportunity of writing for Uloop.com, I will gain the knowledge and experience needed that will lead me into the career of my choice and make all of my trials and obstacles worthwhile.
